The Ministry of Justice revised the 1983 edition of the Regulations on Environmental Protection for Offshore Oil Exploration and Development. The Ministry of ecological environment-MEE and its offshore dispatched agencies shall be responsible for the supervision and management of the environmental protection. The Marine Police Bureau and its affiliated maritime police agencies are responsible for law enforcement, inspection and punishment.
