According to the Standardization Law, China has constructed a new standard system of coordinated development and coordination between government-led standards and market-independently formulated standards. The system consists of five levels of standards, namely national standards, ministerial level standards, local standards, group standards and enterprise standards. By the end of 2018, there were 36949 national standards and 1439 national standards samples. Among them, 2111 mandatory standards, 34 464 recommended standards and 374 guiding technical documents. There are 67 kinds of industry standards in China, and 61 854 industry standards for record. There are 37066 local standards for filing in China. By the end of June 2019, there were 8 818 social association standards made by 2 470 social associations, and about 1.07 million self-declaration standards of publicity made by enterprises through a unified platform.
